Apollo N. MakubuyaLL.B (Makerere), LL.M (Cantab) Mr. Makubuya is Interstice's chief representative for the African region. He is Founding and Managing Partner of the Central Law Offices - a firm of attorneys and legal consultants based in Uganda. He possesses specialized skills in corporate and banking law together with taxation and revenue law. Mr. Makubuya has been a consultant to several local and international institutions, a senior executive with Allied Bank and the Bank of Uganda, and Board Secretary and senior legal advisor to a World Bank funded project. He has been appointed Minister of State (Finance) for Buganda. Since 1993 he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Makerere University and has also held a visiting law Professor position at the University of Florida. He has attended several international law programs in USA, France, UK, Denmark, Kenya, Sweden, Tanzania, Switzerland and in Namibia. Mr. Makubuya is a cum laude law graduate of Makerere University (1st Class Honours) and holds an LL.M from the University of Cambridge. He is also an advocate of the High and Supreme Court of Uganda. |
